I’m an award-winning artist deeply inspired by the beauty and tranquility of nature, especially during my travels and explorations of botanicals. My work spans a variety of mediums, from watercolour and gouache to acrylics and mixed media. Lately, I’ve discovered the joy of bringing old storybooks to life through art journaling, where the past and the present meet in a vibrant celebration of color and imagination.

My creative process is rooted in the serenity of nature, and it’s in my beautiful gallery, wrapped in the embrace of the outdoors, where I find my true sense of peace and inspiration. "Reflections of Bali". This piece is started in Bali. I used the piece of paper to very quickly get some colour down, it was more like a wash then anything defined. Since coming home and going through my photos, where so many images showcased the gorgeous colours and water reflections, I felt inspired to create this piece, my interpretation, with a sprinkle of how it makes me feel when I am there.

✨ A piece born of pure intuition ✨
This commission was unlike any other — guided only by the words:
“Go with your intuition, trust that and it will be beautiful.”

I was nervous. No specifics. Just trust.
And so I turned inward… tuning into the wisdom of the Ayurvedic doshas — Vata, Pitta, Kapha — and let their energies guide me.

Using crystals and copper, I channeled the elemental balance each dosha carries:
🌬 Vata – airy, creative, flowing
🔥 Pitta – fiery, focused, transformative
🌍 Kapha – grounding, nurturing, steady

This piece unfolded with deep presence and reverence.
Created a few years ago… and still one of the most meaningful journeys I’ve taken as an artist.

This week’s creative task was all about clouds—and what a joy it was to float into colour and imagination.

I explored two scenes:
🌊 One, an ocean sky in calming shades of green and blue—like deep breath after deep breath.
🌿 The other, a soft landscape with sage greens and pastel pink-blue clouds—gentle, dreamy, and full of stillness.

There’s something so meditative about painting skies. They hold emotion, light, memory—like quiet conversations between earth and air.

What a day! ❄️✨

Two beautiful Flourish Winter Workshops at The Grove Gallery with CharlieRae – Inspiring Wellbeing and Box of Chocolates Ltd filled our cups (and hearts).

A group of wonderful women gathered to pause, create, connect, and nourish themselves with seasonal magic—despite the wild winter weather outside!

We soaked in natural botanical foot baths, sipped decadent hot chocolate (with all the extras 🍫), created personalised winter perfumes, painted tea jars, blended herbal teas, made reusable tea bags, and crafted mixed media affirmation cards.

We closed each session with grounding meditations—leaving us calm, inspired, and full of gratitude.

Went on a fun art adventure this week with my art group to Whanganui to see the current exhibition at the Sargeant Art Gallery and explore the divine works of the fabulous Katie Brown at the Brown Glass Co Gallery.

Bringing a little bit of Bali to Edens Grove. I adore seeing all the offerings in Bali and the gorgeousness and dedication to being mindful at the beginning and end of their days.

I'm so fortunate to have the sounds of the birds join me, and this morning, a playful piwakawaka flew around me while I placed the flowers, lite my incense and gave thanks and set my intentions for the day.

🗓 7 years ago today, we did our first picking from some of our olive trees. We have 5 varieties here at Edens Grove. These were the Minerva variety. From 130kg, we got 20 litres of incredible tasting oil. Unfortunately, due to life's changes, we werent able to complete the harvesting and haven't been able to do another one since ... next year looks promising. 🫒🍸

A bit of kiwi ingenuity separating the leaves and branches from the Olives. Worked a treat.🌿

I chose citrine - joy, abundance, and prosperity, labordorite - spiritual awakening, protection, and transformation and copper - grounding, energy conduction, and connection to the Earth.
